2. Investing in strategic land & property interests
I am also aware of various parcels of land and other opportunities, in a range of locations and sizes, for investment. There is scope to invest in these opportunities either;
As an individual in a single land interest; or,
As a partnership or consortium in a larger interest or series of interests;or,
Within a SPV company either owning one or more interests.
Depending on the amount of risk you wish to take and the amount you wish to invest I will match the investor to the opportunity.
Complimentary consultants servicesI have tried to restrict the range of services I offer to those with which I have significant experience and practical detailed knowledge. As the subject of strategic land is very wide and diverse I have to recognise my limitations and acknowledge that other consultants will be essential in some situations.
It is not unusual for a large scheme to have 10 or more professional consultants working as part of the team giving advice on specialist subjects that have to be covered in the planning promotion and application stages. These subjects can range from archaeology to sustainable energy systems.
Over the last 10 to 15 years the planning system has become more and more sophisticated as planning policies in Local Plans have covered more and more topics, sometimes in very great detail. To assess the prospects for promoting a development the scheme has to to be considered in relation to each relevant plan policy. Many of these policies are specificialised and the only way to establish if a scheme is consistent with that policy is to take specialsied advice.
As planning policy has expanded, so to has the number of consultants operating in these specialised fields, and particularly in the last 10 years. Inevitably the skills, costs and experience of these consultants can be very variable with some producing excellent work and results for reasonably inexpensive fees and some producing poor work, late and at great expense.
Experience over the years has shown me which consultants have worked well and I would recommend to provide fee quotes.
I have shown below a small number of firms and individuals,together with their website links, which I would recommend in a number of specialised areas of work.
